Selma Irene Phillips

Selma Irene Phillips, 96, of Logan, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2023, at her home. She was born March 12, 1927, in Lawrence County, Ohio, daughter of the late Aaron G. and Jennie Mae Altman Norris. Selma was the widow of the late Wendell K. Phillips, who passed away July 18, 2014.

She retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co in Logan and was a member of the Logan Moose Lodge.

Selma is survived by her sons, Robert W. (Cheryl Ann) Phillips of Logan and Curtis W. (Tesa) Phillips of Logan; daughter, Wenda (Bruce Sigler) Phillips-Sigler of Logan; twelve grandchildren, several great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; brother, Terry Lee (Margie) Norris of Logan; sisters, Virginia Gail Mingus of Rockbridge and Dorothy Elaine Hart of Canal Winchester and many special friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Carol Phillips; son, Kent Alan Phillips; grandson, Curtis R. Phillips and several siblings.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, May 5, 2023, in the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, with Rev. Dr. Randy Hardman officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan. Visitation will be held on Thursday, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of Selma Phillips to FairHope Hospice, 282 Sells Rd., Lancaster, Ohio 43130.
