Travis Cameron James, 46, of Logan, passed away at his home on Monday, May 12, 2025. He was born on September 14, 1978, in Charleston, West Virginia, the son of Kathleen (Martin) James-Wiblin and the late Lyle James. Travis was married to Staci (Jeffers) James on August 12, 2000, who survives.
Travis was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed turkey and deer hunting, and trips to Florida for wild boar. He was a softball coach for Ohio (Athens) SWAT and Athens Middle School. Throughout his working career, Travis worked for Lucent Technologies, Brechbuhler Scales, Reiser Corporation, and medically retired from National Elevator Industry (TKE).
Travis is survived by his wife, Staci; daughter, Ashleigh James of Logan; mother, Kathleen (Marshall) James-Wiblin of Red House, West Virginia; brother, Trevor James of Liberty, West Virginia; sister, Leah James of Buffalo, West Virginia; grandfather, Leonard James of Liberty, West Virginia, mother-in-law, Karen Jeffers of Martin, Ohio, sister-in-law, Kimberly (Ryan) Merrow of Martin, Ohio; brother-in-law, Brian Jeffers of Martin, Ohio; and a niece and five nephews.
Travis was preceded in death by his father, Lyle; father-in-law, Danny Jeffers; grandmothers, Mildred James and Delores Hawk; and grandfathers, Rudolph Hawk and Francis Martin.
A celebration of life will be planned for a later date. Arrangements are with the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St, Logan.
