Victoria "Vicki" Lynne Beckley

Victoria Lynne (Buhl) Beckley, 69, of McArthur died Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at home surrounded by family. She was born May 21, 1957, in Greensburg, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Mary (Spino) Buhl and Richard Salvatore.

Vicki graduated from Oak Harbor (OH) high school in 1975 and attended The Ohio State University, where she was a member of Delta Zeta sorority. In 1983 she married Bill Beckley in Mt. Vernon, OH.

Vicki touched the lives of many people in the local community, as a long-time employee of the Vinton County Health Department, Mama Renie’s restaurant in McArthur, and Athens County Children’s Services. Vinton County 4-H members remember her as the fishing lady at 4-H Camp. She loved the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Vicki was an active member of Saint Sylvester Catholic Church in Zaleski. A proud mother and grandmother (“Nonni”), she was known for her vibrant spirit, humor, and love for her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her dad, Leland Buhl, her brother, Robert Buhl, and her sister, Catherine Buhl.

She is survived by her husband, her sons William Burke Beckley (Melissa Benn) of Arlington, Virginia, and Calvin Christopher Beckley (Emily Ferguson) of Seattle Washington, and her grandchildren, Lennon, Avett, and Liam.

The family will hold a memorial celebration of her life at a later date.

Arrangements are by Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur.
