Vivian Jamison, 78, of McArthur, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2020, at her residence. She was born December 13, 1941, in McArthur, daughter of Garnet King Martin Lough and the late Eugene Martin. Vivian was married to James “Pat” Jamison, who survives.
She had a long career as a secretary and worked in Santa Maria, California, Columbus, Ohio and most recently at Southern Ohio Coal Company in Wilkesville, Ohio, where she retired after 30 years of service. Vivian was a member of St. Sylvester Catholic Church in Zaleski and the McArthur Eagles Ladies Auxiliary Post #2279.
She is survived by her sons, Mark Jamison, Jim (Marla) Jamison and Joe (Rose) Jamison; daughters, Lesa (Dan) Sidwell, Mary (Skip) Ramey and Deena (Todd) Coursen; twelve grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; brothers, Larry (Linda) Martin, Bob (Donna) Martin and Steve (Birdie) Martin; sister, Barbara (Rick) Martin; brother-in-law, Denny (Debbie) Jamison; sisters-in-law, Violet Prill and Barbara Simoncic and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters-in-law, Diana Martin; father and mother-in-law, Chester and Violet Jamison and brother-in-law, Jimmy Prill.
Funeral mass will be held 10 a.m., Friday, March 13, 2020, at St. Sylvester Catholic Church, 119 N. Second St., Zaleski, with Father Nicholas Ventura officiating. Interment will be in St. Sylvester Catholic Church Cemetery. Friends may call at the Garrett-Cardaras Funeral Home, 201 W. High St., McArthur, on Thursday, from 6-8 p.m. where there will be a McArthur Eagles Ladies Auxiliary service at 7 p.m.
